The Public Relations Register is a publicly searchable list of all current members of the CIPR. All members are accountable to the CIPR Code of Conduct.

How to Use the Public Relations Register
Contact and other personal details are not published in the register.
The Public Relations Register is intended to be a list of professionals who are accountable to the CIPR Code of Conduct. It is not intended to act as a directory, and we are not making contact details available through it. Members can access this information about other members using the password-protected Member Directory.
The Public Relations Register is accurate within the parameters set out above. The CIPR is not liable for the outcome of any decisions made based on the content of the Public Relations Register. Any person using the Public Relations Register to confirm information, or as the basis for a decision, is strongly advised to contact the CIPR Membership Team on 020 7631 6900.
The register entries are listed alphabetically by surname and can be navigated using the alphabetical quick links at the top and bottom of the page.
Accuracy of the Public Relations Register
The register displays content from the CIPR membership database, supplied to us by members when they join, renew or update their member record. Members can update their information (see below) at any time.
Accordingly, the Public Relations Register is an accurate record of the information supplied to us by our members and within the timeframe we seek to adhere to when maintaining the database.
Identifying members of the CIPR using the Public Relations Register
The Public Relations register carries only a limited amount of information about each person with a register entry. If you wish to use the register to verify a claim to membership of the CIPR, you are strongly recommended to confirm any information with the CIPR Membership team by calling 020 7631 6900. The membership team will only confirm that someone is or is not in membership and will not provide contact information.
Updating Your Register Entry
Members can update their register entry by logging in to My CIPR – once logged in, click on 'Edit your Profile'.
The Public Relations Register displays only the following information: surname, first name, honours, member grade and Chartered or Accredited practitioner. The information available for updating via 'My CIPR' includes your name and honours.
The CIPR intends the Public Relations Register to be as complete a list as possible of professionals accountable to the CIPR Code of Conduct. Following representation from members, the CIPR Council accepted that exemptions could be made for members who have valid concerns about their personal security which are supported in writing by an employer or client. The CIPR will publish the number of people who have been exempted under this rule.
If you wish to use the register to verify a claim to membership of the CIPR, you are strongly recommended to confirm any information with the CIPR Membership team by calling 020 7631 6900. The membership team will only confirm that someone is or is not in membership and will not give contact information.
The CIPR does not believe that the limited amount of information available through the register will constitute a risk to personal security. However, we are prepared to make exemptions on these grounds if we satisfied there is a genuine risk to an individual member. As stated above, exemptions must be supported with documentation from your employer or client verifying that the limited amount of information available through the register will compromise personal security. Exemptions are taken on a case-by-case basis and approved by the Professional Practices Committee. To seek an exemption, please email Alastair McCapra (email@example.com).
