Hi, Darren here - I'm the Chairperson for the CIPR Wessex Region.
I've been in PR for many years, and have run my own PR agency in Bournemouth for 15 years now.
I'm passionate about the industry, and the difference it can make in any sector.
Having been a member of the CIPR for a number of years, I really like what the CIPR stands for and the way it engages with its members through events, CPD, networking opportunities and training.

I’ve been a member of the CIPR for nearly 30 years, so I’ve seen a fair share of PR’s ups and downs. I now run a consultancy in Winchester, where we specialise in communicating purpose beyond profit. I believe in the power of communications to change society for the better and that the CIPR’s code of ethics, training and CPD provides tools to help our professionals achieve that goal.

Hi, I’m Nicola; one of the newest members of the CIPR Wessex committee. I currently work for Visit Isle of Wight in a role that uses PR and marketing campaigns to encourage holidaymakers to travel as sustainably as possible. I completed the CIPR’s Advanced Certificate in Public Relations in 2018 and have completed CPD ever since. I particularly enjoy attending networking events and training sessions - I always come away from them feeling inspired!
I have been working in PR since 2010, with experience across agency and in-house in both the public and private sectors. In my current role I manage PR in the UK for one of the largest global insurers.
I have been involved with the CIPR Wessex Committee since 2013 and I really enjoy the networking and development opportunities it brings not just for me but for other communications professionals in the region.
I’ve been a member of the CIPR for many years and a Wessex committee member for the past three. I fully support the CIPR and believe there are a huge amount of benefits for members including professional development, training, support and networking to name just a few. The industry is constantly evolving and it’s critical to stay abreast of current trends and ways of working. I’m passionate about what I do and making sure the industry is perceived as ethical, transparent and professional, with a lot to offer.
